INC. MAGAZINE INTRODUCES THE INC. BEST WORKPLACES AWARDS

New York, NY (May 25th, 2016) –  VINOPRO named to the first-ever Inc. Best Workplaces Awards

Santa Rosa, CA-based VinoPRO listed to Inc. Magazine’s inaugural 50 Best Workplaces, the first such measurement of American companies with up to 500 employees that deploy state-of-the-art techniques to keep their staff happy and productive.

“To be recognized as a Best Workplace by INC Magazine as one of the 50 best places to work in the entire United States of America for our unique culture as well as the commitment we make to our employees to create a great place to work is something I’m extremely proud of,“ said Jeff Stevenson, Founder & CEO of VinoPRO.“

“We hear it over and over again from the fast-growing businesses we cover: The biggest challenge that any business owner faces is finding and keeping the best people. That’s why building a workplace culture that allows your staff to grow with your company is absolutely crucial,” explains Inc.’s President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “Recipients of the Inc. Best Workplaces Awards have done so in spades. They should be celebrated and emulated.”

Instead of embracing the entitlement culture that is permeating many of today’s corporations, VinoPRO’s culture is one of literally everything is earned. New hires get the slowest computers, the smallest monitors, etc. As they learn their craft and hone their sales skills, they ultimately end up with a large private office, multiple monitors on a speedy computer, and they also earn the coveted right to engage with the top brands the company represents. Employees are empowered to make local decisions to always do the right thing for the customer.

“VinoPRO has created a company and culture that is second to none. They engage and empower their employees to achieve amazing results for their partners, and the company has one of the most professional, productive and fun environments I’ve ever witnessed in the wine industry, or, for that matter, any industry!” said Michael Houlihan, founder of Barefoot Wine.

The company holds quarterback meetings twice a day which employ a Zoom Dynamic Telepresence System for its remote offices around the USA and other countries. These meetings involve everyone in the company for updates, news of the day, to play motivational games or watches funny & inspiring videos. Management often invites prominent guest speakers to address the sales staff to motivate and inspire them. During summer months, former chef and Sales Manager Gene Davis creates food and wine pairing dinners for the entire company so they can experience what it’s like to pair amazing foods with a sampling of Beringer, Iron Horse, or Rodney Strong’s award winning wines. These gatherings inspire the sales staff, and bring everyone in the company together to focus on maintaining their singular goal of being the most professional wine sales company in the world.

The 2016 Inc. Best Workplaces Awards assessed applicants on a collection of multiple choice, scaled, and open-ended items. Responses were evaluated by the research team at Quantum Workplace. Core components of the scoring include company practices around management, employee recognition, performance communication, benefits, and other elements of the employee experience. To qualify, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent.
